Dear Fana,
Our story is the typical American fairy tale. We met in high school, dated through college (Go Kansas Jayhawks!), moved in together after college and we just took all of those big ‘firsts’ together, hand in hand. After we had settled in to our new place she kept giving me those little hints, well, some less subtle than others, but she was telling me that it was time for that next milestone: marriage. Like most men I found myself anxiety ridden – what if I buy the wrong ring? What if I pay too much? What if, what if, what if!? I could secretly get ideas about what she styles she likes but these are overwhelming times for a man to say the least.
I then decided to do some research online and slowly but surely I was looking for a local jewelry store in the Kansas City metro area. Based on the number of positive reviews and stories I read I decided to stop in to Karats Jewelers in Overland Park, Kansas and I could not have been happier. I met with the store owner Akshay Andy Anand and was given a very personalized experience as we worked through their vast array of engagement rings (largest in the area!). After viewing a number of brands/ products we happened upon ‘the one’. It was made by a brand called Fana and it was exactly everything she was looking for to the T, as they say. Thanks to Akshay Andy Anand’s assistance I was able to secretly get her finger size and with that we got the order placed. Fana made her ring super quick and Akshay Andy Anand got it to me in no time. And then came the nerve racking part of popping the question!
It took a few days but the plan materialized and her surprise was ready. We took a trip to Chicago and stayed downtown at a fancy old hotel. In our room, on an upper balcony overlooking a neon lite city-scape, I was able to sneak up and with a clear air of surprise I asked the most beautiful person I ever met to spend the rest of their life with me. She said yes and I put that beautiful Fana ring from KARATS Jewelers onto her finger and it never looked more radiant. Thank you Fana and KARATS Jewelers, you helped make a dream come true.
